May 17th 2015 - Seymour Johnson Airshow - North Carolina
I had attended Warbirds Over the Beach in Virginia Beach on Saturday and this was not terribly out of way home so I decided to give it a shot. One on the main reason I went was they had advertised a F-4 flyby, but it did not happen.
Matt Younkin in his Beech always puts on a great show
Greg Soucy in his Ag Cat
A couple Extra 300s
The Tora Tora Tora routine
These Special Forces guys put a good show
Scooter Yoak and his P-51 Quick Silver - as pretty a Mustang as you will ever see.
The local reserve unit flew their KC-135R
A-10 Thunderbolt II - better known as Warthog
C-130H Hercules
Seymour Johnson is home to the 4th Fighter Wing of F-15E Strike Eagle (or Mud Hen). This one has just been loaded with weapons, This was particurlarly interesting to me because for six years I load weapons on F-4Ds and F-16As
In afterburner
And dropping a flare
T-38 Talon
I did not stike around for the Thunderbirds as I still had a long was to drive home and I had seen them recently.
B-1 Lancer or Bone
B-52 under the wing of a C-17
C-17 Globemaster III
C-5 Galaxy
F-22 Raptor
F-35A Lightning
F-86H Sabre - Believe the 4th Fighter Wing once flew them.
